Life can get stressful., there is no denying that right now after the period we have just experienced 

This is an unavoidable fact, but it does not have to be stressful and overwhelming all of the time. Each one of us wants to achieve a stress-free and calm life. It may seem like an impossible task, but there are a few tips that you can follow to achieve a sense of calm and serenity in your daily life.  

This time of year can create some extra overwhelm as we see the endless Christmas should dos and needs – our kids are writing their block buster wish lists and we are just trying to keep our heads above it all.

Not only practicing the art of giving thanks for even the small things in our world but what about giving the gift of thanks to others.  When life begins to get a bit overwhelming, take a moment to appreciate the things that you have to be grateful for and see if there are ways you could offer that to others. 

How can you help another be more thankful for what they have.  

The list is probably longer than you choose to acknowledge on the daily basis.  

2. Focus on Human Qi and Positivity

It is easy to find ourselves in a cycle of negativity. Every little thing that happens in our daily lives can easily turn into a major complaint.

However, it is also possible to adopt the opposite type of mindset

Remember you are in control of your Human Qi, find the positive in the situations that appear in your daily life.  

When your mind begins to wander into the direction of the negative again, force yourself to maintain your positive outlook. Over time, being positive will become a lot easier than it is at first. You may also begin to rub off on others around you which is simply a fringe benefit

3. Be Nice to People

This may seem a little obvious but being kind to others can actually go a long way for your everyday experience. Even when someone goes out of their way to make your life difficult, you can still choose to be nice to them.

Chances are, your kind attitude will prevent others from doing anything to make your life difficult in the future 

Write a list of all those you have to think about for gifts this year and write down a way you can do this with an act of kindness.  Simply put together a card, box or surprise and give the gift of a kind act this year under the giving tree.

Keeping your home clean and tidy is another great way to reduce stress and anxiety. Clutter is often a culprit for stress and anxiety, and unfortunately this is often overlooked by those who are suffering from these ailments.  

 

Taking a day to tidy your home, car, workspace or anywhere else where you spend time can greatly enhance your sense of calm, but what if you could gift that offer to a friend.  

You know that friend that has everything – what are you going to buy them.  

 

I remember one of the best things we would do for my parents was a family working bee.  We would all gather and put our skills to good use and tick off the list dad would have. 

Some would cook and take care of us all while others would watch the babies and small ones, while others would work machinery and trucks and then some would round off the odds and ends that needing doing.  I loved these days.  It was a togetherness and a gift that my parents loved and truly appreciated.

Making the choice to enjoy the quiet can actually do a great deal of good for enhancing your calm and serenity.  Finding ways to expand our quiet time can be difficult and often difficult for us to do when we are so used to having our minds running constantly without a break.   

Ever thought about making a mediation for a friend, personalizing it and making it truly just for them.   

This is one of my favorites and gave a friend of  mine and  she loved it, it was at a time when things where not falling into place for her and she had some challenges. It does not always have to be for someone with challenges though what about:

  • one just to inspire them to love themselves more 
  • one to give peace and serenity  
  • one to give them permission to sit quietly and know that they will be okay  
  • one to encourage laughter and joy  
  • one to encourage harmony  

 

There are so many you could think of and if you are great with your creative skills, you could also make a fun cover for it as well and deck out the card, paper and gift all in their own personal brand 

Learning how to gain peace and serenity in your everyday life is not an easy task.

This is a task that takes determination. However, achieving peace and serenity is a gift that will keep on giving.

Overcoming all of the negative aspects of your daily life will give you a relaxation that will be worth all of the hard work
